David M. Lewis

Associate Counsel 

David Lewis supports the Health Science Center and related entities in Jacksonville and Gainesville on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters.    

Prior to joining the University, he worked in private practice in the Gainesville area for several years, while also serving on the editorial board of the Florida Bar Journal.  David received both his Juris Doctor with honors and his Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) with honors from the University of Florida.  In law school, he served as a teaching assistant for Legal Research & Writing and Appellate Advocacy classes, and on the board of the Journal of Law & Public Policy.  He is a member of the American Health Lawyers’ Association and the Health Law Section of the Florida Bar.
