Bill Young

Chief Legal Officer, UF Health

Bill Young is an attorney in the Office of Vice President and General Counsel and is the Chief Legal Officer for UF Health.  He oversees the legal affairs of all UF Health hospital entities and affiliates as well as the health affairs legal matters of the University’s health colleges and affiliates, including practice plans. Bill also oversees and manages the attorneys for any UF Health hospitals and entities , the UF Health colleges and any other health affiliate attorneys. 

Prior to joining the University of Florida, Bill was corporate counsel at the University of Wisconsin Health providing counsel to the academic medical center and the faculty plan.  Bill previously worked for a large law firm in Chicago, Illinois, as a litigator in the health care department. Bill graduated, with honors, from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.  He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois State University.  Bill is admitted to practice law in Florida and Illinois.
