Alexander Athanason

Associate Counsel

Alexander "Alex" Athanason advises and represents the University on a variety of student and business affairs-related legal matters. He works closely with clients in the areas of student life, enrollment management, law enforcement and various academic and administrative departments.

Prior to his work at the University of Florida, Alex served as Staff Attorney and Interim General Counsel for the Fort Worth Independent School District.  Alex received his bachelor’s degree from UF and his law degree from Baylor University.
