Brande S. Smith

Senior Counsel 

Brande S. Smith advises and represents the University on a variety of legal matters including, federal and state regulation, policies and procedures, risk management, campus safety and security, contract procurement, public records, litigation and other dispute resolution. She works closely with clients in the areas of student affairs, registrar, law enforcement and various academic and administrative departments.  In addition, Brande serves as the Law Student Extern Supervisor for the Office of the Vice President and General Counsel. 

Prior to her work at the University of Florida, Brande served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Office of the State Attorney, Eighth Judicial Circuit.  Brande received both her Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, and Juris Doctor, with Honors, from the University of Florida.
